WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS,OF SEMI-FINALS LONDON, May 29. While pitying in the third rowd ol the British women’s golf championship yesterday, Aliss Clarrie Tiernan, the Irish girl who defeated Miss Diana Fishwick, was handicapped by a badlyblistered hand. She was beaten by Miss Mervyn Barton, the 19-year-old sister of Miss Pam Barton. Tho last eight players, apart from tho Scottish player, Miss Doris Park, are all in their teens or early twenties. Results of the semi-finals are: — Miss Wanda Morgan defeated Miss Jessie Anderson, 2 and 1. Miss Pam Barton defeated her sister, Miss Mervyn Barton, 2 and 1.
