CANARY AND CABE-BIRD CLUB
OFFICERS ELECTED. At a meeting of the newly-formed Canary and Cage Bird Club last Wednesday, the election of officers took place, with the following result: Patron, Mr. W. Anderson; vice-patron, Mr. H. Edwards; president, Mr. James Patterson; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Upton, J. Read, A. G. Winstone, and H. R. Jones; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. McCartney; committee, Mesdames H. R. Jones and J. McCartney Messrs. W. Baxter, T. Anderson, W. N. Ryder, L. Gillman, C. Kirkland, A. Leckey, and C. Hammond. The club is holding its first annual exhibition in a few months, and the prospects are that it will be a successful one. New members will be heartily welcomed.
