MCDONALD—McGONAGLE.

Of considerable interest to the relatives and friends of the family was an evening wedding which was solemnised at St. Stephen’s Church, Waverley. on Wednesday. The contracting parties were Janet Aileen (Nettie), eldest daughter of Airs, and the late Air. AlcGonagle Waverlev. and William, eldest son of Mr. and ’Mrs. J. McDonald. Aberdeenshire. Scotland. The bride, who was escorted by her grandfather, Air. Wicks, wore a prettily-designed frock of white sand crepe with the orthodox tulle veil, kindly lent by Airs. Jewell, of Rangiwahia. She also wore gold ear-rings, the gift of her great-grandmother and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and fern. 'l’he bridesmaids. Aliss Alara AlcGonagle, (chief) and Aliss Noeline Horton wore attractive frocks of Londonderry crepe in shades of pink, with diamante tiaras, silver shoes and mittens to tone with their frocks. They also wore dress rings, the gifts of the bridegroom, and carried bouquets of pale pink chrysanthemums and fern. The two flower girls, Misses Betty AlcGonagle and Joan Horton, wore ankle-length frocks of blue, with pink rosebud headbands and wore gold bangles, the gifts of the bridegroom. Air. lan Alitchell and Air. Leslie AlcGonagle attended the bridegroom and the Rev. S. R. Gardiner was the officiating clergyman. Airs. Barrow presided at the organ. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Town Hall, where Airs. wearing a. frock nf bottle hat to tone, received about

70 guests. Mrs. Wicks, wearing a ’ brown frock and hat assisted Mrs. Me- | Gonagle and Mrs. Mitchell who repre- I sented the bridegroom’s mother, wore a i very becoming suit. All three carried i bouquets to tone with their frocks. I When Air. and Mrs. McDonald left i by car for their honeymoon, the latter [ wore a blue swagger suit with hat, ‘ shoes and handbag to tone.
