QUEENSLAND COASTAL BELT GOODS SHAKEN FROM SHELVES j j BRISBANE, April 13. | An earch tremor which was felt in I the metropolitan area about noon, was .• experienced along the coastal belt from Brisbane to Rockhampton. No extensive damage and no injuries were reported, but at Gayndah, in the Burnett district, a number of buildings were cracked and stock on shelves thrown to the floor. Alarmed residents at- Kingaroy, where two distinct shocks were felt, rushed into the streets. 'The most severe tremor in the metropolitan area was at Cribb Island, where homes were violently shaken and residenes terrified.
