Letgal argument was heard by Mr. Page, S.M., on the application of the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Wohlmann, fop leave to commence a prose cution for alleged defamatory libel against Albert. Edward Robinson, of Auckland, editor of Farming First. Mr. Page said the place of hearing would have to follow th? ordinary law. He did not propose to discuss details of”the article. It seemed to him that a case had been made out under section 11 nf the Law of Libel Amend ment Act. He thought, therefore, it his duty 1n make the order sought.
