OVERSEAS VESS ELS (To Berth at CastleclifTl. JAMES COOK FROM SYDNEY. The 2142-ton intercolonial steamer Janie Cook (Captain Turner) is due on Friday even ing from Sydney, via New Zealand ports. Th vessel will come up the river to the Towi Wharf and after discharging general cargi will load a quantity of timber for Australiai ports. The James. Cook will be the larges vessel to come up the river. She is schedule* to sail on Saturday for Sydney, Newcastl and Melbourne, via Westport and Greymouth (Holm and Co.). KANNA DUE TO-DAY The Union Company's 1948-ton freighte Kanna (Captain Gardner) left Noumea fo Auckland last week and will arrive a Wanganui to-morrow. The Kanna is bring ing guano. (Johnston and Co.). FIFE WITH PHOSPHATES. With a cargo of phosphates for Messrs Kempthorne Prosser and Co.. Ltd., the Fif will arrive from Nauru Island, via New Ply mouth, about April 19. (Millward and Co.) SULPHUR FROM JAPAN The freighter Ryuyo Marti was to hav< sailed from Port Muroran. Japan, on Apri 9 with a full cargo of sulphur for Auckland Lyttelton and Wanganui. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line' 8287-ton freighter Port Curtis (Captain Brad ley) is at present loading in the South Islant and is due here on Friday, sailing finall; from the roadstead on April 16 for London (Smith. Beauchamp and Co.). NORFOLK'S LOADING PORTS. The Federal Line steamer Norfolk, whici is due at Auckland from England in ballas on April 11, is to load for London and Wes Coast ports of Great Britain at Auckland Gisborne, Napier. Wanganui, Lyttelton an Wellington for London via Cape Horn, oi May 4. The Norfolk will probably arrival Wanganui on April 24.
