MONEY STOLEN

SECRETARY PLEADS GUILTY [ Par Pre&a A*»ociation. ] THAMES, March 22. James Morrison Fox, aged 37, maf* ried, appeared on remand at the Police Court to-day charged with the theft of £994 19s 9d, the property of the Thames Harbour Board, of which accused was lato secretary. The Government auditor gave evidence that there was no attempt at falsification of the books and records other than a cheque for a minoi amount. Accused frankly admitted th« shortage prior to the audit, but did not know the amount, and had given every assistance.

Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the .Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence, in bail of self £209 and two sureties of £lOO each.
