MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Bulls Miniature Rifle Club was held in Clifton Hall on Tuesday evening. The president (Mr. S. Sharp), was in the ! chair, and there was a fair attendance I of members. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted, the report reading:—“lt is pleasing to note the greater interest taken in miniature rifle shooting during the year; and the increase in membership and attendances at the weekly shoots. It is, however, disappointing to note the slackening off as the season progressed, though this was caused largely by several members leaving the district. Mention must be made of the loss sustained by the club when the president. Air. 8. Sharp, had to retire from shooting, but we hope that he will fully recover from his illness, and will again be an active member. “Th© doubling of the subscription from 2s 6d in 19.35 to ss, together with increased membership, enabled the club to purchase a new rifle 1 arrel, and to finish up the season with a small credit balance. “In 1934 the club’s A team retained the Cliffe-Remington Cup. ana memoers of the team are to be congratulated on upholding the reputation gained tho previous year of being the champion team of the Alanawatu Centre. The AlcKclvie Cup was successfully detended in six challenge matches, and although wc would have liked to have held the trophy at the end, we were pleased to see it won by Ohakea M.R.C. afte- a close shoot. We wish to congratulate Air. D. Lundy on winning the Alanawatu aggregate, and Mr. T. Prichard on gaining the title of Alanawatu champion. Air. T. Prichard also won the N.Z. aggregate, equalling the record for the competition; and won the Bulls championship and handicap cups. Our five-man team shot well in the Winchester, Whitcombe and Caldwell, and Tisdall cups, finishing well up. Senior and junior teams were entered for the Wanganui M.R.A. postal competitions, but neither were successful. “The club extends sincere thanks to donors of trophies, and congratulates the winners.” Election of officers.—The following were elected for 1935: Patron, A.
