WOMEN IN COURT
SEQUEL TO DISPUTE EUCH RE TOURNAM ENTS [ Per Press Association. | CHRISTCHURCH, March 20. A dispute between two women over the running of euchre tournaments in aid of the Christchurch. Toy Dog and Cat Club had a sequel in ihe Civil Court this morning. Mrs. Mary Priest honorary secretary of the club, claimed from Mrs. F. Vincent a total of £l5 damages. She alleged Mrs. Vincent bad falsely and maliciously used, concerning plaintiff, the words, “1 know all about your character, and if 1 told people what I know of your character they would never come back to this hall again.” Further, that she referred to plaintiff as one of the ‘‘scum of the earth,” and lastly that Mrs. Vincent flicked ihe plaintiff in the face with a pair of gloves.
