WELLINGTON AND AUCKLAND. [ Per Proas Association ] WELLINGTON, March W. Willingness to collaborate with Auckland in order to save overlapping and expense in regard to the Wellington and Auckland Centenaries in 1940, was expressed to-day by the Mayor, Mr, Hislop. ‘‘Personally, I would be very glad indeed to collaborate with Auckland so as to avoid overlapping or unnecessary expenditure, and so as to ensure that the celebrations will be suitable to 'both cities and worthy of the occasion, which is not only the centenary of Wellington and but of New Zealand,” said Mr. Hielop.
