EARLY CONCLUSION

THE PRESENT SESSION IMPORTANT LEGISLATION [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, March 10. Saturday, March 23, was announced by the Prime Minister, Hon. G. W. Forbes, to-day as the date on which he expected the present session of Parliament to end. Mr. Forbes said he had every confidence that the business could be completed in a fortnight. The only measures now remaining to be dealt with were the Mortgage Corporation of New Zealand Bill, the Mortgagors and Tenants Final Adjustment Bill, the Broadcasting Bill, and the Native Affairs Amendment Bill. The last named measure would be comprehensive but he did not anticipate that any difficulty would be experienced in securing its passage. In giving effect to the recommendations of the Native Affairs Commission, the Bill dealt with a variety of subjects, but the changes in administration which it would seek to introduce were not drastic.
