WANGANUI CLUB OPENING OF SEASON, MARCH 30. The 1935 season of the Wanganui Golf Club will be opened at Belmont links on March 30 with mixed Canadan foursomes. Players may, if they wish, arrange their own partners and opponents, but if they do so they should advise the secretary immediately as a draw will be made about March 20 of all those who have not handed in their names. Seventeen players took part in the first Wellington provincial Champion of Champions golf contest at Miramar to-day. J. L. Black (Hutt) returned the best gross score, 73—77—150, followed by W. G. Clark (Levin 153 and J. H. Drake (Miramar) 154. Clark’s eight handicap gave him the best net score.
