GENERAL NEWS. A number of Girl Guides left under the care of their Guide Leader, Miss T. (.’rawford, to attend a camp at Wellington, are expected to arrive home to-day. Mr. and Mrs. G. Antvvis are making a tour of the Rotorua ami Taupo districts during their holidays. The Misses G. and I. Dickinson with Miss E. Jarrett, left on Thursday' for Miss E. Hammond hag returned from W ellington. Mrs. R. Bunker and family left on Saturday’ for Palmerston North. After many years spent in Mangaweka, Mr. R. Bunker has disposed of his bakery business. A public valedictory will be held on Saturday evening next. At the meeting of the Mangaweka s.-hooi Committee those present were Mr. (Sutherland (chairman). L. Mahoney, G. Salt. L. Bailey and Mr. Blue. Account® were passed for payment. It was decided that the sum of £9(l (about) handed from the Queen Carnival be spent in the forming of a basketball and tennis court for the school children.
