TUESDAY’S TRACK WORK. I INTERESTING GALLOPS. ; The New Plymouth track bore a busy appearance on Tuesday morning even I hough there was not a great deal of fast work, says the Taranaki Daily News. The two-year-old Bonny Glow was just in front of General Quex at the end of five furlongs on the same track iu Imin. 5 l-ssec. This filly has shown improvement in her track work of late and will be seen in action on the second day of the rueetiueCereal rar, five furlongs under a. strong pull in Imin. Ssee. on the out side of the course proper. He moved evenly throughout and pulled up well. Illuminate was allotted an en*' seven furlongs on the plough. He was not hurried over the first part, but came home in good style over the last two furlongs iu 24see, to register Imin. 39sec. for the full distance. Lady Kyra did better than Red Fox over five furlongs on the plough in 1 min. 3Jsec. She was going easily all the way and carried out her task in an attractive fashion. She has freshened up splendidly since Ellerslie and YV. Mantle has her in splendid order at present.
