Thu ex- | pcdition’s two cows and a bull were crated safely and embarked. The last to leave the group of buildings which twice have housed Admiral Byrd, was a small group under Mr. G. O. Novelle, one of Admiral Byrd’s staff officers. The farewell took place with a minimum of ceremony. Be said he cleaned up bis shack, left a brief note for possible visitors, and then closed the door and left. In the administration building the cooking fire was left burning and a few oddments of food and discarded clothing left untouched.
