Jarvie, St. John’s Hill, is a visitor to Wellington for the croquet championship. Miss K. Pownall, Hastings, has joined lhe nursing staff of the Wanganui Hospital. Dr. and Mrs. U. Williams have returned from Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. G. Murch, Campbell Street, have taken a beach house at Kai Iwi. Mr. and Mrs. O. Kitson have returned to Wanganui from Auckland. Miss Arkwright. Marton, is visiting Dr. and Mrs. A. Wilson at their beach house at Castled iff. Miss Comerford, Christchurch, is the guest of Miss Harman. St. John's Hill. The Misses M. Hall and M. Notman, Wanganui, are staying at Wellington. Mrs. H. S. Harman has returned to Wanganui from a holiday spent in Wellington.

Mrs. Nowell Izard has returned to St. John’s Hill from Gisborne. Mrs. Kennedy, “Wharenui,” is spending a holiday at Wellington. Canon W. G. Williams and Mrs. Williams, have left for a visit to Auckland. • • • • Miss Af. Wallace has returned to Wanganui after a holiday of some weeks in the North Auckland district. Mrs. David Nathan. Manurewa, Auckland, is visiting Wanganui and later in the week will proceed to Wellington, where she will join the Monowai on Friday for Sydney, en route to England. * • * • Miss Betty Russell, who has been appointed to the library staff, commenced her duties this week. • • • • Miss Alary Graham, who is visiting Wanganui in the interests of the Douglas Credit movement, is the guest of Mr. and Airs.
