OBITUARY
SIR ARTHUR MAXWELL LONDON, Jan. 20. The death is announced of Sir Arthur Maxwell. Colonel (Brigadier-General) Sir Arthur Maxwell, K-C.8., C. 8., C.AI.G., D. 5.0., bon. colonel of the London Regiment since 1923, was born in 1875. He served in the European war for four years. He was a prominent business man, being managing partner of the banking firm of Glyn, Mills and Co., a director of the Union Bank of Australia, Royal Steam Packet Co., R.AI.S.P. Meat Transports, Nelson Steam Navigation Co., 11. and W. Nelson, Eider Dempster and Co. ; African Steamship Co-, Oceanic Steam Navigation. Co., Coast Lines, Imperial Direct Lines and Shaw Savill and Albion Co. He was president of the Institute of Bankers in 1931 and 1932.
