THE DAMAGED DIANA
SALVAGE ABANDONED. DARWIN, Jan. 21. An attempt to salvage the Qamtas ’plane Diana, which is at Port Stuart, GO miles from Darwin, with a broken propeller, was abandoned at the weekend because of the rough seas which forced the relief lugger to turn back. The Diana broke a propeller when it overturned after finding and landing alongside of the air liner Athena on January 17. The Athena made a forced landing in a storm and had almost exhausted her fuel.
