CATCHES AT BOTORUA LADY BLEDISLOE’S PROWESS ROTORUA, Jan. 18. A most successful day’s fishing at Hamurana Springs was enjoyed by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe and Air A. Keane, conservator of fisheries at Rotorua to day. The Vice-Regftl party included Miss Hudson and Lieutenant J. C. Elworthy. Lord Bledisloe waded, while Lady Bledisloe fished from a boat. For the past week His Excellency, who arrived in Rotorua yesterday from Taupo, had been fishing daily in the vicinity of Taylor’s Camp at Turangi and, although the fishing conditions have not been altogether satisfactory, it. is stated that he, caught a number of trout and thoroughly enjoyed the spore. Lady Bledisloe has been at the Grand Hotel. Rotorua, since, last SunA total catch of 31 fish was made to-day. His KxcellcnVy secured 12, wit**? nine were landed by Iler Excellency. All members of the party were fly-fishing. Lady Bledisloe and Miss Hudson were also out on Monday and Tuesday and on both days enjoyed good sport.
