The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office, as at close of business last week:—The de maud for wethers is a little better. Trade in ewes is slow. There is a moderate demand for lambs, smaller supplies having caused prices to harden. The market is short of supplies of beef and prices are nominal. Trade generally is slow. Compared with last week’s quotations, la.mb is unchanged with the exception of second quality, which is l-8d per lb higher. Wethers, under 561ib, l-8d per lb lower; prime ox beef, l-8d per J'b higher. Others unchanged.
