SWIMMING

GONVILE CLUB SUCCESSFUL CARNIVAL. FIRST OF THE SEASON. Fine weather, excellent water conditions and a satisfactory attendance of the general public on Thursday night combined to make the Gonville Swimming Club’s first carnival of the 1934-35 season a successful affair. In addition to the usual list of “straight” swimming events there were several relay races and three polo matches, the programme thus being of a very diversified nature.
