———— * " DR. NICHOLSON'S VISIT [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, Oct. 29. On a visit to several choirs in New Zealand affiliated to St- Nicolas College of English Church Music, Dr. Syd ney H. Nicholson, lare organist and master of choristers at Westminster Abbey, arrived from Sydney by the Makura. Be is accompanied by his secretary (Mr. A. H. Brewin). Speaking of Australian choirs, Mr Nicholson said that there were a great deal of keenness and much good work, but they had much to learn in the choice of music and, as he understood, it was also the case in New Zealand regarding the value of using boys m choirs. He xvill be given a civic reception to-morrow and will leave in the evening for the south, returning on Saturday and leaving for a number of North Island places on Monday.
