BOXING FINALS STAGED. The finals of the Wanganui Collegiate School boxing championships were staged on Saturday night. In the paperweight, final Glenn (6.131) won from Smith vii (6.94), the winner’s reach telling on his opponent in a good bout. Williams (7.6 ) proved the better boxer and won the flyweight final, in which he defeated Smith i (7.64). The bantamweight final was between Cooke ii (8.3|) and Jefferd (8.8|). The judges disagreed and ordered an extra round, the decision then going in favour of Jefferd. Nancarrow (8.13) was the winner of the featherweight, using his left to great advantage to defeat Currie (8.13), who relied on a right hook. In a one-sided contest Morrison (9.10 i had the advantage over Logan ii (9.124) in the lightweight final. The middleweight title went to Price (11.1), who defeated Dowding (10.10). Coull (14.7) won the heavyweight title being too fast for his opponent, I. Nilsson i (10.9). The winner, who had an advantage nearly 4st in weight, used his right and left with great speech
