FIRE AT WARKWORTH

BUILDING DESTROYED [ Per Pre»s Association ) AUCKLAND, Oct. 28. The business premises known as Hamilton’s Building, in the main street of Warkworth, was destroyed by an early morning fire. The occupants were Messrs J. L. Buchanan, land agent, J. Williamson, bootmaker, and B. Hamilton, draper. A bucket brigade failed to quell flames, but the adjacent premises. Mr Hamilton is a heavy loser, a large quantity of uninsured Christmas stock having just arrived. The building is owned by Mr Hamilton and insured for £4OO. Williamson’s stock is insured for £l5O. Buchanan was not insured.
