INFERIOR FRUIT
SHIPMENTS FROM AUSTRALIA. THE GOVERNMENT’S ACTION. CANBERRA, Oet. 27. The Commonwealth Government has taken up the question of inferior fruit shipments to London, which was the subject of recent, complaints, and amendments are being introduced before Christmas to overcome the defects in the existing legislation which precluded Commonwealth intervention; also to enable stricter supervision in the methods of inspection and packing.
