PLAY AT WELLINGTON OPENING OF SEASON (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, Oct. 28. The Wellington cricket season opened on Saturday in unfavourable weather. Play was twice interrupted by rain and stumps had to be drawn shortly after 5 p.m. Wellington College Old Boys lost three for 139 against University Midland eight for 10.1 against Wellington (1. Symes seven for 44), Institute eight for 155 against Kilbirnie. Rain prevented play in the Petone v. Hutt game.
