CHRISTCHURCH AEROPLANE. TRIP TO AUCKLAND. ( Per Press Association ). AUCKLAND, Sept. 18. A trip from Christchurch to Auckland w’as made in the total flying time of 4| hours by Captain J. C. Mercer, chief instructor to the Canterbury Aero Club. Flying a D’e Haviland Fox Moth he left at 12.15 p.m. with a passenger, spent 20 minutes at Palmerston North and reached Mangere at 5.20.
