ASSOCIATION’S TRIBUTES ( Per Press A*sociation. J WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. The board of directors of the United Press Association to-day passed resolutions of sympathy in connection with the deaths of Messrs T. C. List, W. H. Triggs, and R. A. Loughnan. The resolution regarding Mr List, stated that he was a prominent member of the association for many years, and from 1929 to 1932 was an active and valued member of the board. He had the esteem and confidence of his fellow members, and the board felt that his death removed a distinguished and able personality from the ranks of New Zealand journalism. In reference to Messrs Triggs and Loughnan, the resolution stated that they were two veteran journalists who had rendered line public service through their profession and in their private capacities. Afr Loughnan for some years was representative of the association in the Parliamentary Gallery.

The sympathy of the board was conveyed to Air L. P. Blundell in his present indisposition, and the hope was expressed that he soon would be fully restored to health and strength. A vote of condolence with the chairman, Air C. Stanley Smith, in the death of his mother, was also carried*
