LATE SIR G. HENSCHEL
REMARKABLE CAREER. [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Sept. 11. The late Sir George Henschel had a remarkable career as singer, composer, and conductor. Almost until the end he practised all branches of his art. Three years ago he conducted the jubilee performances of the Boston (United States) Symphony Orchestra, of which in 1881 he was the first conductor, and on the eve of his 84th birthday this year he broadcast some songs from the London studio.
