Mr. H. J. Hall has been -elected secretary of the Wanganui Garrison Band. . Mr. D. McFarlane was re-elected president of the Wanganui Garrison Band at the annual meeting held on Wednesday night. Mrs. M. Boyd and Mr. A. E. Ballinger have been elected unopposed to act as parents’ representatives on the Board of Governors of the Wanganui Technical College. Mr. S. W. M. Stilling, representative in New Zealand of the Australian National Travel Association, left Wellington for Australia by the Marama this week. The work of the association will be carried on in New Zealand by Mr. R. H. Nesbitt, Australian Trade Commissioner. Mr. F. E. Hutchinson, who held a lectureship in forest utilisation at Canterbury College up till tIL recent closing of the Forestry School, hits been appointed to a position in Melbourne on the forest products laboratory staff of the Australian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. The appointment of Mr. Janies Begg and Mr. Tlomas Andrew Duncan as producers’ representatives on the NewZealand Meat Producers’ Board, was gazetted last night. A Gazette notice also announces the appointment of Mr. Frederick Edgar Nottage and Mr.' Alexander Morris Robertson as representatives of the poducors on the New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board.
