SPRING SHOW

HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY This season’s spring show, to be staged by the Wanganui Horticultural Society, will be opened in the Drill Hall, Maria Place, on Wednesday, September 12, at 2 p.m. An energetic committee has been working for some time past to ensure that this year’s show will not suffer by comparison with any of the society’s previous efforts. The main features will be the exhibits of narcissi, but, in addition to this, there will be exhibitions of •cut flowers, pot plants and the decorative sections, which are always unqualified successes in Wanganui. Exhibitors are notified that the entries for the show close with the honorary secretary, Mr V. B. Willis on Monday, September 10, at 8 p.m.
