The story combines comedy, two romances and plenty of exciting adventure, all centred round two “trouble-shooters,” the official title for the intrepid linesmen who brave blizzard, fire, storm, and flood in order that man’s communication with his fellows may not be interrupted. Spencer Tracy and Jack Oakie are the team of adventurous trouble-hunters who have some thrill- | ing experiences with wire-tappers and gangsters, involving them in the solving of mysterious deaths and bank robberies. They finally find themselves on top of swaying telephone poles while the earth below them is rent asunder by an earthquake.
