ALLEGED BIGAMY
ELDERLY MAN CHARGED [Per Press /. association. 1 BLENHEIM, Sept. 4. | At the Police Court Charles Calloway, a Wairau Valley farmer, aged 69, was charged with bigamy, evidence being givten that he married a widow named Elizabeth Hartley at Blenheim, on September 9, 1922, and while she was still living went through a form of marriage with Harriet Stephens, also a widow, at Wellington in April last. Accused pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. Bail was allowed.
