HOROWHENUA MATCH. MAORI TEAM NOMINATIONS. In place of the representative match w l hich was to have been played against , Wairarapa at Spriggens Park on June 30, a match against Horowhenua has been arranged. , At a meeting of the executive comi mittee of the Wanganui Rugby Union ■ on Wednesday it was decided to ask Mr. A. Takarangi to act as manager of '■ the Maori team to play at Wanganui on ! August 11. Mr. J. Crowley was appointed manager of the Wanganui team to play Manawatu at Spriggens Park on July 28. i The meeting endorsed the action of ’ the secretary in advising the selectors that nominations for the Maori team to : tour the South Island would require to ■ be in before August 20. ' A letter from the Tailhape Rugby Union congratulating G. A. BullockDouglas on being selected in the All ■ Black team to tour Australia is to be : forwarded to Bullock-Douglas. It was decided to advise the selector that two teams would be required for the representative and Maori matches on August .11, and that they I might obtain whatever assistance they might require.
