WEDDING

TUCKER—DOBSON. Many friends will read with interest of the wedding which was solemnised at S-t. John the Baptist Church, Huntcrvillc, on Wednesday, Jupe 27, when Aland May Faber, daughter of H. F. Dobson, Kaiapoi, and niece of Air. and Airs. Arundel Lewis, Pohonui, Hunterville, was married to Harold Albert Tucker, son of Mrs. A. Smith, Martinborough. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. C. Swainson. As she entered the church with her uncle, the bride looked exceedingly

charming in her ankle-length bridal gown of white georgette, which was daintily relieved with two small frills round the hems and the new tunic effect was finished with large taffeta bustle bow clasped with a spray of orange blossom. Also was worn a dainty shoulder cape with high neck-lino effect finished with a soft bow. She wore a beautifully-embroid-ered veil of white tulle, which was fastened to the head by a circlet of orange blossom. Her flowers were a sheaf of freezias and pink and cream roses. She was attended by two girl friends as bridesmaids. Aliss Gladys Beer, of Waverlcy, wearing pale pink organdie with small embroidered flowprs in shades of pale pink, mauve and green finished with belt and bow of deep plum velvet. Alias Lillian Loveridge of Pohonui, wore lemon organdie with inset cream satin flowers with belt and bow of cherry red velvet and each wearing high tiara-shaped headdresses of pearls. Both carried boflquets to match their frocks. A tiny flower girl, little Elsie Barnett, niece of the bride, dressed in blue organdie and wearing a bandeau of pale pink and lemon flowers looked very sweet holding the bride’s veil. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Air. Norman Tucker, bio the r of the bridegroom, and Mr. Ronald Wilson was groomsman. Alessrs. Henry and Albert Leary were ushers. Many friends of the bride and bridegroom were entertained by Air. and .Mrs. Arundel Lewis at a reception at the Town Hall, Mrs, Lewis weaning a black frock relieved with white and black coat and hat also relieved with white and carrying a red bouquet. Airs. Smith, mother of the bridegroom, was wearing a black satin frock and black hat and held a pink bouquet. Airs. Leary, aunt of the bride, wore a satin frock, brown coat and hat and carried posy of violets. The bride and bridegroom left by motor-car for tihe-ir honeymoon tour, which is to be spent in the north. Airs. Tucker wore a frock of brown silk marocain wi-th brown coat and hat, shoes, gloves and handbag.
