SOME ALARM CAUSED READ.H’STMENT OF EARTH SYDNEY. July 4-. ! Earth tremors in Bathurst; and Orange districts were experienced at intervals yesterday. Houses were shaken and there was some alarm among residents. Professor L. Cotton, of Sydney University, explained that the tremors were occasioned by readjustment which is going on in the earth’s crust, zk movement is taking place a, considerabß* 1 instance below the surface and shocks <re likely to attain great severity.
