MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING I There was a good attendance at the weekly practice shoot on Monday night. The shooting was not quite up to recent form. The button winners for the week were:—A grade: F. Lumsden and Keith Lumsden. B grade: F. W. Tostevin. C grade: A. I McCormick. Details of scoring was as follows:
TABLE TENNIS There was a gu-od attendance at the weekly practice on Saturday night. The, Dwyer Button was again won by A. Matthews. Miss Molly Butler won the Nicol Button and E. Davey the Weston Smith Button. Dining the supper adjournment the president (Air. A. Nesbit), said it had been decided by Ihe executive to make use of the main lia.ll and another table had been ordered. Air. Nesbit said lie would donate atrophy lor a handicap competition. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the president and it was decided to commence the competition on Saturday next. The secretary advised that two teams from CI iff Road would play at Sanson on \\ ednesday night. After supper sides were selected by Miss Molly Butler and Air. A. Alatthews. \\ hen play closed the games were 23 to 13 in favour of Aliss Molly Butler’s team. The teams to play Cliff Road on Wednesday night will be as follows; — A team. —A. Alatthews, L. Perrctt presided, all other members being present. A number of tenders for the lease of the reserve were received and the tender of Air. T. Williams was accepted. A letter signed by several residents of the district asking for some improvements to the insi Jo of the hall was read and considered. It was resolved to spend up to £lO provided a similar amount was contributed by the public. It was also decided to improve the outside of the. hall.
