RUGBY FOOTBALL. With several inches ot snow falling in central Taranaki towns, and heavy rain elsewhere, all senior Rugby matches were postponed last Saturday. These will be played next Saturday, so that the draw for the successive Saturdays will be advanced a week. Patea senior, who were all prepared to leave for Stratford, when the union’s decision was reached, will play United Old Boys at Stratford next Saturday. Positions on the championship ladder still show Okaiawa, Stratford, Patea, Tukapa and Eltham in that order at the top. with only two points difference between Okaiawa and Eltham. TENNIS. Sincere regret was felt by membeis of the Patea Tennis Club last week when Mr. T- Tuohy advised that he had been transferred to the Ohau Post and Telegraph Office. leaving this Wednesday. During last season Mr. Tuohy carried out his duties of secretary very capably, while his position as top mar. of the club was well maintained. He was also a most able club captain, and his team played well during the season. In order to tender Mr. Tuohy some measure of their regret at his departure. a farewell social and dance is to lie held to-morrow night, when club members and friends will foregather. ' GIRLS’ CLU B.
