During a gale on Friday evening a large macrocarpa tree uprooted and fell across th c Anglican Sunday School, completely wrecking the building, only til* porch being left standing. Thc building was originallv the chinch, but when thc new church was erected in J 90S it. was used as a Son day School and has been used for that purpose and for social gatherings ever since. Its destruction is a distinct'o.ss to the parochial district.
