Air. Bruce Levy is to lecture at Westmere next Alonday. His subject will deal with the value of grasses. Air. A. W. Gorringc, of the Department of Agriculture, is to give a series of lectures in the Wanganui district from July 16 to July 20. He will lecture on swine husbandry. Air. A. N. Rogers was appointed to represent the \\ anganui executive of the Farmers’ Union at the meetings of the Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association. F. Allen, Auckland. Tributes to the memory of the late Mr. George Mitchell were paid at meetings of the Wanganui Agricultural Association and Farmers’ Union yesterday. Air. R. Farley, president of the Agricultural Association, said that Air. Alitchell had been a member of that body and some 40 years ago was an exhibitor. Air. T. Currie, president of the Farmers’ Union, said that the late Air. Alitchell had been a member of the union in its early days. He had been one of the best known farmers on the\ west coast.
