AEROPLANES COLLIDE

THREE MEN KILLED. ( British Official Wireless. ) RUGBY, June 25. Three flying officers—C. R. L. Shaw, J. Darroch, and G. P. Hill—were killed when two instructional machines from the Bristol flying school collided over Yate, near Bristol. The other occupant of the ’planes, Flying-officer Kerr, jumped with a parachute and alighted in a pond, receiving only slight injuries. One of the dead officers also jumped out, but the machines were insufficiently high to allow the parachute to act effectively.
