MAGISTRATE’S COURT
WEEKLY SITTING HELD. Mr. J. H. Salmon, 8.M., presided at the weekly sitting of the Magistrate’® Court at Wanganui yesterday, and dealt with the following cases:— A fine of £l, with costs, was imposed upon Allen Alontague Sims for having driven a motor-lorry carrying a load in excess of the licensed weight. Charles Atwill was convicted and fined 10s for having driven a motorlorry while not being in the possession of a driver’s license. Air. Salmon took into account the fact that the offence had been committed only three days after the date on which the license should have been renewed. A fine of £3, with costs, was imposed on Arthur Candish, who was convicted of having driven a lorry carrying a greater load than that for which it had been licensed. John Patterson and Frank Robert Reid were convicted and fined £l, with costs, for having driven motor cays that had not been registered. The following were fined 10s with costs for having driven cars while not being in possession of drivers’ license®: Leslie Short, Roy Sinclair, Alexander Rennie, Arthur Fitzpatrick, Jean MeNab, Peter AfcDonnell, Kenneth Bilderbeck, Ivy Darbyshire, Nellie Goidingham, John Patterson.
