TIN-HARE RACING
MEETING AT WANGAEHV, By courtesy of Messrs. J. Hannan md L. A. Mackintosh, the tin-hare racing track is to be opened at Wangaehu Dn Friday at 1 p.m., when the Wanganui Free Ambulance Cup will be competed for. Music will be played during the afternoon by the Ratana Band, and a particularly large attendance is expected. Motorists will be Table to take their cars out to the course and park all round the track. Eight races will be run, the first being timed to commence at 2 p.m. Visitors to the Wanganui races will be able to spend a most enjoyable and entertaining afternoon’s sport on the day in between the two days’ racing in the city. Incidentally they will assist the Wanganui District Free Ambulance service, which has proved its worth to the community and is recognised as being a very worthy cause. A good afternoon’s sport will be followed in the evening by a repetition of what has proved to be a most popular vaudeville entertainment (from 8 till 9.30 p.m.) in which favourite numbers will be performed. comprising song, music, comidy, dance nml niae :p -
