Continental competition wai strong, particularly from Germany, while Bradford operated freely on suitable wools. Japan was practically out of the market. Compared with the Brisbane March sales, prices for fleece wools were five per cent easier, medium and faulty seven and a-half to ten per cent, easier. All classes of skirtings commanded exceptionally strong bidding, with prices on a par with March value*.
