Fragile Post. Advice was received by the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce last night from the chief postmaster at Wanganui) Air. J. Madden) to the effect that the matter of fees charged for packets carried in the fragile post was now under revision, together with other matters affecting the parcels post. In due course the Chamber would be advised on this matter. The writer pointed out that the fragile post did not pay the department as the hampers, as well as the parcels themselves, had to be charged for in transit. The representations of the Chamber would receive sympathetic attention when the matter was being gone into, particularly in respect to small packets carried in the fragile post. It was decided to write and thank the postmaster for his reply.
