WANGANUI AERO CLUB
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE RALLY AT MASTERTON Presided over by Mr. A. S. Burgess, a meeting of the executive of the Wanganui Aero Club was held last evening. There were also present Messrs. D. Lethbridge, J. Peat, 8. G. Whittail, J. Strachan, Dr. Kenrick Christie and the secretary, Mr. S. B. McCallum. A welcome to the executive was extened to Mr. Lethbridge, the chairman remarking that Mr. Lethbridge’s knowledge of flying would be of material benefit to the club. A letter was received from the Wairarapa Club stating that a club day would be held at Masterton on June 2. Mr. Strachan said that it was generally understood that a ’plane would visit Masterton from Wanganui. It was decided that the matter be left to Messrs. Strachan, Franklin and Lethbridge to arrange. A letter was received from the Auckland Club with regard to the investigation and circumstances in which the aeroplane ZK-AAL was wrecked on Mount Hawkins. It was decided that the letter be posted in the clubhouse. Messrs. W. J. Gardiner, K. A. Gibbons and J. K. Melville were elected new members, subject to the usual conditions. The annua] report and balance-sheet were approved, and the secretary was instructed to have them prepared and circulated before the annual meeting, which will take place on May 28. It was agreed that the time at which afternoon tea would be served at the clubhouse for golfers should be posted on tho notice board. The next meeting of the executive will be held on Thursday May 17.
