TWO SAVAGE DOGS

I ATTACK ON A WOMAN I TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE ‘ Mrs. R. G. Garden, mother of Mr. Oscar Garden, the aviator, was attacked by two dogs when she was walking along a street at Merivale, Christchurch, a few evenings ago. For i more than 10 minutes she tried to fight ' them off, and by the time the owner of one of the animals had come and called them away, her coat had been torn and her umbrella smashed. She suffered considerably from shock, but received no physical injury. The two dogs sprang after Mrs. Garden about half-way along the street, and one of them caught hold of her coat- She tried to fend them off with her umbrella until assistance came, and she had a terrifying experience for a few minutes. She did not see what kind of dogs they were.
