SUSTENANCE FOR UNEMPLOYED
Sir, —In this (Thursday) morning’s “Chronicle” I see there is a suggestion made by the Auckland Local Bodies’ Committee investigating the employment problem that sustenance be given to unemployed as laid down by the original Act laid down in 1930. Could you, or any of your readers let me know what this scale of sustenance was? MAX.”
