LIQUOR AT CABARET
CHARGES AGAINST PROPRIETOR. [ Per Tress Aasocianon. J CHRISTCHURCH, May 3. Palmer Claridge, proprietor of Claridges Country Club, New Brighton Road, a well known cabaret, was charged to-day with keeping the club open on Sunday for the purpose of transacting business and as proprietor of a restaurant with permitting liquor to be drunk on the premises at a time when licensed premises were closed. The hearing was adjourned for a week.
