VALEDICTORY.

On Friday evening, a large number of members of the Methodist Church and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rose, the occasion being to bid farewell to the Rev. A. O. Jones, who is leaving the district. The evening was spent in playing games, which were interspersed, with musical and elocutionary items, these being given by Mrs. J. Hodge, Airs. R Rose, Mrs. H. Searle, Ray Searle and Rev. Jones. Community singing was also much enjoyed. At a suitable juncture Mr. Leu Rose, speaking on behalf of those present, spoke of the keen regret that would be felt by ail at the loss of Air. Jones. He wished Air. Jones every success in his new charge and asked him to accept a small cheque from friends in the district. Mr. Jones, when responding, said that he would very much miss his friends here and thanked them for their support and keen interest during the short time he had been here.
